Passport refusal or extension denied to people serving a sentence or facing criminal liability
Law No. 20 amends Article 8 of Law No. 269-XIII on exit from and entry into the Republic of Moldova. It adds a new ground for refusing to issue a passport or extend its validity: the applicant is serving a sentence under a court judgment or is being held criminally liable. The law entered into force on 26.04.2001.
