Law No. 401
Amendments to Law 336-XIV on restructuring debts in the power sector
Law nr. 401 amends Law nr. 336-XIV of 1 April 1999 on restructuring debts of enterprises in the power sector. The phrase "local budgets" is replaced with "budgets of administrative-territorial units". A new point is added on debts of these budgets to Moldova-Gaz for compensating the price difference on natural and liquefied gas for the period between 7 February and 30 June 2000. The law entered into force on 17 August 2001.

Law No. 262
Consular services exempt from state fee; citizenship applications from abroad pay consular fee
Law No. 262 of 15.06.2001 amends three laws. Consular services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are not subject to the state fee. A citizenship application filed from abroad pays the consular fee, while one filed from Moldova pays the state fee. The law took effect on 17.08.2011.

Law No. 395
Amendments to the Publishing Law: foreign capital and support for national books
Law no. 395 of 20.07.2001 amends Law no. 939-XIV on publishing activity. Organizations and citizens of other states may hold publishing rights only as co-founders, with no more than 49 percent of the statutory capital. The article on state support for publishing national books is rewritten. The law entered into force on 17.08.2001.
