Changes to the Criminal Procedure Code on international legal assistance and extradition
Law No. 48 of 07.03.2008 amends the Criminal Procedure Code, mainly the rules on international legal assistance in criminal matters, letters rogatory, summoning witnesses abroad, and extradition. The text also sets that pre-trial detention of a person subject to extradition cannot exceed 180 days, and covers transit and extradition requests made by Moldova. The law entered into force on 15.04.2008.
