Law 84/2017 changes how real estate is formed and introduces land re-parcelling

Law No. 84 of 25.05.2017 amends Law No. 354/2004 on the formation of real estate. It introduces re-parcelling as a new way to form real estate, by changing land boundaries at the owners' request. In many cases the cadastral plan is no longer required, and new rules apply to isolated rooms in hostels. The law applies from 30.06.2017.

The law sets the framework for official statistics in the Republic of Moldova, with the National Bureau of Statistics as the central authority. Expropriation for Ungheni - Chisinau gas pipeline, in force from 30.06.2017

Parliament declares the construction of the Ungheni - Chisinau natural gas pipeline, the second phase of the interconnection with Romania, to be of public utility. Land needed for the pipeline can be expropriated, with compensation paid by the Government, and a special expropriation procedure applies. The law entered into force on 30.06.2017, and articles 1-4 from 31.08.2017.

Public medical and sanitary institutions added to Article 13 of Law No. 121/2007

Law No. 107 of 09.06.2017 adds letter d) to Article 13 paragraph (2) of Law No. 121/2007 on the administration and de-statization of public property. Letter d) includes public medical and sanitary institutions. The Government must bring its normative acts in line with the law within 3 months of its entry into force. The law entered into force on 30.06.2017.
