Victims of illegal migration will not face criminal liability for certain acts linked to their migration

The law adds a new paragraph to Article 362¹ of the Criminal Code. A victim of illegal migration is released from criminal liability for illegal entry, stay, transit or exit across the state territory, and for possessing and using false official documents to organize their illegal migration. The law entered into force on 29.03.2013.

State Protection and Guard Service must notify other authorities about unlawful acts

The law amends letter a) of Article 12 of Law No. 134-XVI on the State Protection and Guard Service. The Service must carry out special investigative activities to collect, verify and use information needed for its duties. It must also mandatorily inform other authorities that conduct special investigative activities about unlawful acts it learns of, by a referral act with the confirmatory materials attached. The law entered into force on 29.03.2013.

New experience requirements for auditors under the Law on audit activity

The law amends letter b) of Article 20 paragraph (3) of Law No. 61-XVI on audit activity. People who want to become auditors must have at least 3 years of work experience in economics, finance or law. The length of the traineeship depends on the person's earlier experience. The law entered into force on 29.03.2013.

The National Commission of the Financial Market has frozen personal account no. 9501 in the register of holders of securities issued by Commercial Bank "Moldova-Agroindbank" S.A. The freeze lasts until the documents related to transactions are examined. The order took effect on 20.03.2013, the day it was adopted.
