Beekeeping law: rules for beekeepers, apiaries and bee protection

Law No. 70 of 30.03.2006 governs beekeeping, the rights and duties of beekeepers, and bee protection. The consolidated text includes amendments from LP303 of 26.10.23, in force from 14.12.23. The law entered into force on 19.05.2006 and has not been repealed.

Amendment to the land law: who can buy agricultural land

Law nr. 86 amends Article 6 paragraph (2) of Law nr. 1308-XIII on the normative price and the sale and purchase of land. The phrase on natural persons and domestic legal persons is replaced with citizens of the Republic of Moldova and legal persons whose share capital contains no foreign investment. The law entered into force on 19.05.2006.

Parliament ratifies ILO Convention No. 183 on maternity protection

The law ratifies International Labour Organization Convention No. 183 on maternity protection. In an attached declaration, the Republic of Moldova states that employed women and apprentices receive maternity leave of 70 calendar days before birth and 56 calendar days after birth, paid with benefits. The law entered into force on 19.05.2006.

Parliament approved Moldova's accession to the Convention on the Recovery Abroad of Maintenance, concluded in New York on 20 June 1956. The law entered into force on 19.05.2006. The Ministry of Justice is designated as transmitting agency and intermediary institution.

4.63 hectares in Chisinau removed from agricultural use for a meteorological station

Law No. 92 of 20.04.2006 changes the list of units whose agricultural land remains state property, replacing the Scientific Research, Selection and Technology Institute for Fruit Growing with the Research Institute for Fruit Growing in Codru. It also allows 4.63 hectares to be withdrawn from agricultural use for the Chisinau Meteorological Station, an aerological station and an administrative complex. The law entered into force on 19.05.2006.

Duty-free import of a mobile TV broadcast vehicle for TeleradioMoldova

As an exception, the law allows the national public broadcasting institution Compania TeleradioMoldova to bring into Moldova a special-use vehicle, a mobile unit with television technical equipment, marked SCANIA R143ML, manufactured in 1992. The vehicle was granted as free aid (donation) by the Norwegian state broadcasting company. The import is exempt from import duties, and the vehicle may not be alienated.

Moldova's securities regulator freezes Agrocon-1's treasury share account for review

The National Securities Commission ordered an unannounced thematic check of the joint-stock company Agrocon-1's purchases of its own shares. The company's personal account holding 189 509 treasury shares is blocked until the check is completed and its results are examined. The ordinance took effect on the day it was adopted, 19.05.2006.
