    Method

    1. Blanch the cabbage in boiling salted water and pull off the leaves. Trim the thick rib from each leaf.
    2. Fry the chopped onion and grated carrot in oil for 5 minutes. Mix half with the mince, rinsed rice, salt and pepper.
    3. Put a spoon of filling on each leaf and roll it up tightly.
    4. Pack the rolls into a pot, add the remaining vegetables, the tomato paste and water to cover.
    5. Cook on low heat, covered, for an hour and a half. Serve with sour cream.
