La art. III pct. 3 din Legea nr. 152 din 19 iunie 2025 pentru modificarea unor acte legislative (securitatea aprovizionării cu gaze naturale și alte aspecte ce țin de sectorul gazelor naturale), publicată în Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova, 2025, nr. 346–349, art. 437, în loc de „ 1 ianuarie 2028, ” se va citi „ 1 ianuarie 2028 ”.

Changes to the law on Marculesti Free Airport, in force from 06.09.2025

Law No. 232 amends Law No. 178/2008 on the Marculesti International Free Airport. Administrative authorities and institutions under the Ministry of Defence may carry out activities ensuring national defence and security on the airport territory. The law enters into force on 06.09.2025.

Changes to the Railway Transport Code: allocation and revocation of infrastructure capacity

Law No. 235 of 10.07.2025 amends the Railway Transport Code No. 19/2022. It broadens the definition of railway infrastructure, adds revocation of infrastructure capacity alongside allocation, and exempts state real estate transferred to the infrastructure administrator from rent, lease and surface-right payments. It enters into force on 06.09.2025.

New method for calculating losses when farm or forest land changes to another use

Law No. 239 of 10.07.2025 approves a single methodology for calculating losses caused when agricultural or forest fund land is moved to another category of use. Losses depend on the area of land sectors, the soil quality score and a tariff per point-hectare unit, adjusted by correction coefficients. The law takes effect on 01.01.2026.

Inheritance rules change: surviving spouse, acceptance deadline and unworthy heirs

Law No. 251 of 10.07.2025 changes several inheritance rules in the Civil Code. Changes include how a surviving spouse is treated in statutory inheritance, an acceptance deadline of 12 months, and a court requirement to establish that an heir is unworthy. The law enters into force on 1 April 2026, and the amendments to Book Four apply to inheritances of people who died on or after 1 January 2026.

State-owned farmland list amended for Anenii Noi, Chisinau and Cimislia

Law No. 254 of 10.07.2025 amends the annex to Law No. 3/2025 on the areas and cadastral numbers in the list of agricultural land owned by the state in the public domain. The list total falls from 20471,3827 to 20265,9135. The law entered into force on 06.08.2025, and the Government has 3 months to transfer some of the land to administrative-territorial units.

Changes to parole and sentence replacement for life imprisonment

Law no. 255 amends the Criminal Code and the law on amnesty. Persons sentenced to life imprisonment may be released on parole or receive a milder sentence only after serving at least 30 years in prison, without counting privileged work-day credits and other sentence reduction tools. The law enters into force on 06.08.2025.
